Participants: Michael Petit (Namur), Martin Werner (Aachen), Rose Dieng (INRIA), Wolfgang Nejdl (Aachen), Eric Dubois (Namur).

The Amsterdam meeting took place on August, 15th 1994. It consisted of three talks and discussions, both about specific topics raised in the talks and about possibilities to stimulate interaction within the subgroup.

It was agreed upon to initiate description of the subgroup and related material as a set of WWW pages, with some central home pages maintained by Aachen and local pages at each participant site.

The following talks were presented:

• Martin Werner (Aachen): Distributed Agents for Control, Diagnosis and Repair
• Rose Dieng (INRIA): Agent-Based Knowledge Acquisition for Traffic Accident Analysis

Additional participants were Wolfgang Nejdl (Aachen) and Eric Dubois (Namur).
